Human Anatomy and Piercing
A person's skin is above 3 m2 and weight of skin is about %15 of body weight. In any cm2 of skin present millions of cells and thousends of neves. Skin's thickness in an adult person is average 25 mm, but in some areas it is thinner(eyelid) and in some areas it is thicker(soles of foot).
-First the area sterilizate with an antisptic solution.
-According to the size of piercing material, the skin signs with a pencil. Than signed area is locked with a pens and narcotized with a spray.
-After process, the area is cleaned with an antiseptic solution. After that for 24 hours the area must not to contact with water and dressing must be done with antiseptic solution and pomad that contains antibiotic, for 6 weeks.
Problems In Bleeding And Trauma
30 thousend ğiercing are done in Paris, New York and California in one year. The growing of doing piercing is also increased the problems of it. In a study %95 of family doctors in England said a complication of doing piercing. Also in a study in USA %17 of people they are done piercing had abdominal bleeding, tissue trauma and bacterial infections. Some times the piercing materials also block the brething system.
Application
The area must be clean and hygienic and good brightened. Piercing maker must have an autoclave and must sterilizate all the materials with it. Before doing piercing, piercing maker must wash his hand and wear a glove. İf glove become dirty it must be changed. After pierce the area , piercing material transport across this area. İn this application, a little bleeding maybe occur. Piercing gun must don't be used, because it's sterilization is difficult and it damages the tissue. Piercing material must be suitable for the area that will pierce, if it is not suitable there maybe happen some problems. To avoid inlammation, infections and allergic reactions surgery steel, 14 karat gold, niobium or titanium materials must be used.
Problems
Problems are related with the piercing area. If it is done on ear, it's healing tkes longer. In tongue piercing, tongue can swell a lot, but it heal in a short time, because it's bleeding is very good. If a woman want to be mother in the future time, it is very risky to be done piercing on nipple, because milk canals may be infected. Also piercing on umblicus is more risky for infection. If mateial is not suitable on piercing area, wound can not heal easily. Thinner or thicker materials is not suitable.
